“The best possible quality at the best possible price”.

This is our slogan and our goal: we are committed to making every single product its concrete embodiment.

To provide the highest quality product, we use state-of-the-art Karl Mayer looms, suitably modified for our needs, for knitted textiles and Sulzer looms for woven textiles.

In this way, we combine tradition and technology to achieve the best results and the best possible price.

Furthermore, thanks to control of the entire production chain, we ensure that only pure materials of the highest quality (polyester, aluminum and polyethylene HDPE) are used.

To certify this commitment, we rely on professional bodies working in compliance with standards recognized all over the world.

EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009

In July 2013, we appointed the company SGS to test some of our BASIC5 thermal screens – Argentum, Lactis and Vitrum – to check their flame retardant properties in accordance with European standard no. EN 13501-1: 2007 + A1: 2009 regarding the behavior of construction products in reaction to fire.

SGS is a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification services, boasting a network of over 1,650 offices and laboratories around the world.

The goal was to test the ability of these thermal screens to prevent fire from spreading, thereby significantly helping to put out any fires that may occur inside the greenhouse.

It is important that thermal screens have this technical feature, both for their use in public places (garden centers) and to meet the requirements of growers’ insurance companies.

The analyzed samples showed that the flame-retardant versions of BASIC5 thermal screensArgentum, Lactis and Vitrum – fall perfectly within the parameters of this standard with the highest possible rank for this kind of textile (B – s1, d0).

UNI EN ISO 6946:2008

In October 2013, we entrusted ISTITUTO GIORDANO, an Italian technical body at the forefront of product testing, certification, research, planning and training, to determine the thermal transmittance of our indoor thermal screens BASIC5 Argentum AIC 65 and BASIC5 Tenebris AIC R99 for greenhouse insulation, in accordance with standard UNI EN ISO 6946: 2008.

The thermal transmittance of our thermal screen BASIC5 Argentum AIC 65 was certified at 2.78 W (m2 x K), while the figure for BASIC5 Tenebris AIC R99 was 2.59 W (m2 x K).

NTA 8825:2010

We entrusted EFECTIS to evaluate our thermal screen BASIC5 Vitrum D15 FR in accordance with the new standard NTA 8825:2010 on behavior when exposed to fire, which was recently studied in the Netherlands specifically for greenhouse screens. This Dutch body specializes in testing and certifying the fire behavior of each material and operates all over the world.

The standard is yet to be applied and will take effect from 1.1.2017.

These tests check the product’s fire reaction properties with a small direct flame. Evaluations are also carried out with the screen at different inclinations (30 and 90 degrees) to estimate reliability for vertical and horizontal use.

The test established the fire resistance behavior of thermal screen BASIC5 Vitrum D15 FR as Class 1.

This means that it meets the requirements of legislation NTA 8825:2010 on fire reaction in the maximum expected class and can therefore be used either as a top horizontal screen or a wall screen, in fixed or mobile systems and in installations of up to three layers.

New tests are underway to evaluate the other BASIC5 thermal screens.
